This is the first word we speak, when we greet anyone coming to our house. Yes I am from a community called Sourastra. This word can be used irrespective of gender and also age of the person. Depending upon the words used before, the respect varies.
Ex : Thumi Souramya : with respect.
Thu Souramya : without respect.
This is one of the word which is frequent and widely used in Soutrastra.

thokuthiya - this one word I will never forget. Whenever my ex. roomie calls his come he used to use this sentence many times. When we knew the meaning of the word we laughed like anything. (He used to say this word within a minute after the call starts)
